Ubuntu系Linuxを立ち上げたときに
性能のあまりよくないモニターの場合に
解像度がおかしくなる事がある。
普通はシステム>設定>ディスプレイ
(もしくは画像)を設定しなおせば
なおるのだが、自分の様に古いモニター
を使っているとどうしようもない。
これをなおす方法はいろいろあるようだが、
parsixのxorg.confを置き換えてやるのが簡単だ。
こうすれば、parsixの性能の範囲で解像度
がなおってくれる。
ただしモニターの性能やOSとの相性により
うまくいかない場合もある。
(siduxやUbuntuの9.10ではうまくいかなかった。)
また失敗するとデスクトップ
が開かなくなるので、
あらかじめレスキュウ用に
PuppyLinuxやクノピクスのような
oneCDLinuxを用意しておいたほうがよい。
1.parsixのxorg.conf(3.0以降はgenerated.conf)

2.上のデータをルート権限のnautilusで
Ubuntuの/etc/X11/xorf.confに貼り付けてセーブ。
(この時万一に備えUbuntuのxorg.confを
必ずコピーをとって保存しておくこと、
しくじるとデスクトップが開かなくなる。)
3.再起動して解像度がなおっているか確認する。
(失敗した場合はレスキュウ用のLinuxを使い
あらかじめコピーしておいたxorg.confのデーター
を元通りに戻してやる。)
